More postponements and a player possibly going through the exit door have caught Our Man In The Know's eye today.
The Arctic conditions look certain to cause the postponement of Charlton's match with Hartlepool at The Valley on Saturday. An inspection is planned for today to prevent Hartlepool making a fruitless journey. The decision looks little more than a formality.
Another game to be postponed is the Addick's rearranged game at Walsall which was due to be played on 19 January. Due to a contractual obligation some of the Saddlers' hospitality suites are unavailable on that date, causing safety problems in the event of an evacuation situation arising.
The Banks's Stadium is being used for a four day event and the club originally thought they could stage the event and the Charlton match simultaneously but that has proved to be impossible.
With Charlton's match against Leyton Orient being staged on Monday 25 January, the game at Walsall will now be played on 2 February with a 7.45pm kick-off.
On the playing front, Izale McLeod's agent has revealed that Championship outfit, Peterborough United, are keen to sign his client and McLeod wants to join Posh. The likelihood is that an initial loan deal would be made permanent in the summer.
