Correspondence from opposite sides of the world this week.

Teenage prodigy, Young Steve, gives us a brief insight into his trip to Swindon

Another away game so CTD and I left at 10:00 to get the train to Swindon. We arrived at Swindon at 13:15 and after a short walk down the road we passed one of the most complicated roundabout systems, five roundabouts in one plus you can go the wrong way round it! We then met Ketts outside a brilliant fish and chip shop for the usual lunch special. Football special jumbo sausage and chips just £2.00!

Met Compo in the ground and had a good conversation. Before the match started there was a Scrooge steward standing next to me, and his reaction to a local dance group was woopty F***ing doo and he was saying he could do better after 10 pints. Unfortunately he was so unhelpful to people who asked him for help that it made the club look bad.

The match itself was poor in the first half but got better in the second. A bad mistake led to Swindon's goal. Charlton fought back and luckily Bailey rescued a point in added time. A 1-1 was daylight robbery but a point’s a point and they did beat Leeds.

A good train home and we arrived back safely from the County Ground at 20:00.

DK Says: The fabled Magic Roundabout is a joy to brhold isn't it? The town is obsessed with roundabouts. Agree that we mugged them YS.

Pat Penn has had bull sharks to deal with in Queensland this week.

Hi, the season is starting to get a familiar ring to it with the side getting the same results as our clubs bank account - overdrawn. We are in the middle of our easy ten fixtures and do not have too much to show for it. Millwall did us a favour at the weekend, by turning over the Canaries but I am sure this had more to do with them wanting to finish as high as they can even in an automatic spot.

Still plenty of games to go and many twists and turns, I suppose with a play-off place you do get an extra home fixture for the gate revenue and another programme and sell some extra merchandise at the shop and a few more pies which would help the balancing of the books

The weather here on the Sunshine coast has been terrible with 400mm or rain coming down in less than a day.

One now has to be careful as this flushes the bull sharks out creeks and canals, so no swimming there for a few days.

Well, as they say, onwards and upwards.

DK Says: Not sure if Millwall beating the Canaries is actually a good thing Pat. I think automatic promotion is nailed on for Leeds and Norwich, leaving us to contest the play-offs, hopefully. Not sure i really fancy locking horns with Millwall. Come to that, I'm not that confident of getting past Colchester or Swindon!
